Jeremy Silman

IM Jeremy Silman (1954-2023) was an International Master and renowned chess author who became a master in 1975 and achieved his IM title in 1988. He is best known for his influential books 'How to Reassess Your Chess' and 'Silman's Complete Endgame Course,' which introduced the theory of imbalances in chess and made significant contributions to chess pedagogy. Beyond his prolific authorship of over 35 books, Silman was an accomplished player who finished in shared first place at the 1981 U.S. Open and coached the US junior national chess team.
