Jenny Nimmo

Jenny Nimmo is a British author of children's fantasy and adventure novels, best known for the Children of the Red King series (also called the Charlie Bone series) and the Magician Trilogy, rooted in Welsh mythology. Born in Windsor, England, she worked in television at the BBC before marrying Welsh artist David Wynn Millward and settling in Wales, where she continues to write. Her works have won awards like the Nestle Smarties Prize for The Snow Spider and The Owl Tree.
