Jenny Downham

Jenny Downham (born 1964) is a British novelist and former actress known for her young adult fiction. Her debut novel, Before I Die (2007), about a teenage girl with leukemia, won the Branford Boase Award and was adapted into the film Now Is Good starring Dakota Fanning. She lives in London with her two sons and co-authored Let the Light In with her son Louis Hill in 2025.
