Jeff Kinney

Jeff Kinney is an American author, illustrator, and game developer best known for creating and illustrating the Diary of a Wimpy Kid book series, featuring the relatable middle-schooler Greg Heffley.[1][2][3] Born in Fort Washington, Maryland, he attended the University of Maryland where he created the comic strip Igdoof, later developing the online version of Diary of a Wimpy Kid in 2004 before it became a bestselling print series in 2007.[2][4][6] He also created the popular children's website Poptropica and owns a bookstore called An Unlikely Story in Plainville, Massachusetts.[1][4]
