Jayne Ann Krentz
Jayne Ann Krentz, born Jayne Castle on March 28, 1948, is a prolific American romance novelist who has authored over 120 New York Times bestsellers under pseudonyms including Amanda Quick and Jayne Castle. She pioneered the futuristic romance subgenre with Sweet Starfire and expanded it with paranormal elements in Amaryllis, with more than 35 million copies of her books in print. An advocate for the romance genre, she holds a B.A. in History from UC Santa Cruz and an M.A. in Library Science from San Jose State University, and resides in Seattle.
