Jasper Ridley
Jasper Ridley was a British writer renowned for his historical biographies, including acclaimed works on Henry VIII, Elizabeth I, Thomas Cranmer, Mussolini, and Tito. A former barrister educated at Magdalen College, Oxford, and the Sorbonne, he received the 1970 James Tait Black Memorial Prize for his biography of Lord Palmerston.
