Janice M. Morse

Janice Margaret Morse (née Hambleton), born December 15, 1945, in Blackburn, Lancashire, UK, is an anthropologist and nurse researcher who founded the field of qualitative health research. She is a Distinguished Professor Emerita at the University of Utah and Professor Emerita at the University of Alberta, where she established the International Institute of Qualitative Methodology. Morse has published over 400 articles, 30 books, and 85 chapters, and is a recipient of the Sigma Theta Tau Hall of Fame award.
