Jane Porter
Jane Porter (1775–1850) was an English historical novelist, dramatist, and literary figure. She is best known for the bestselling historical novels Thaddeus of Warsaw (1803) and The Scottish Chiefs (1810), which helped shape the early modern historical novel.
