Jane Greenberg

Jane Greenberg is the Alice B. Kroeger Professor, PhD Program Director in Information Science, and Director of the Metadata Research Center at Drexel University's College of Computing & Informatics.[1][5] She earned her Ph.D. from the School of Information Sciences at the University of Pittsburgh in 1998 and a B.A. from the University of Rochester in 1987, with prior roles including faculty at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.[4] Her research focuses on metadata, knowledge organization, semantics, linked data, data science, and information economics, and she received the 2023 ASIS&T Research in Information Science Award.[1][6]
