Jan Messent

Jan Messent was a British textile artist, author, and retired teacher of art, history, and English, known for her work on embroidery and textile history. She became deeply involved with embroidery as an art form in the 1950s and later wrote books on subjects such as Celtic, Viking, Anglo-Saxon, and Bayeux Tapestry embroidery.
