Jan Karon
Jan Karon (born March 14, 1937) is an American novelist best known as the #1 New York Times bestselling author of the Mitford series, featuring Episcopal priest Father Tim Kavanagh and the fictional village of Mitford. After a successful three-decade career in advertising, she left at age 50 to pursue her childhood dream of writing novels, publishing her first book, At Home in Mitford, in 1996.
