James Scott
James C. Scott was an American political scientist and scholar known for his work on peasant societies, state power, political resistance, and how non-state communities avoid control by states. He taught and wrote influentially on agrarian politics in Southeast Asia, and later produced widely cited works on anarchism, social transformation, and early agricultural states.
