James Proimos

James Proimos, born in 1955 in New York, NY, is an author, illustrator, animator, director, and designer who worked for twenty years as a copywriter and art director in advertising across cities including Denver, New York, Cleveland, Los Angeles, and Baltimore. He attended the School of Visual Arts, founded Patricia von Pleasantsquirrel Pictures, created the animated program Generation O!, and has written and illustrated over twenty critically acclaimed children's books. He is married with a child named Annie and has received several advertising awards including Clio, Addy, One-Show, and a Cannes Lion.
