James Morwood

James Morwood (1943–2017) was an English classicist and author from Belfast, renowned for his pioneering work in classical language education, including the widely used 'Oxford Latin Course'. He served as Head of Classics at Harrow School and a Fellow at Wadham College, Oxford, and led major classical teacher associations, significantly advancing classical education in the UK and USA until his death from 'dry drowning' while swimming in Greece.
