James McCormick Dalzell

James McCormick Dalzell (1838–1924) was an American Civil War veteran and writer from Allegheny, Pennsylvania, best known for his historical work 'John Gray, of Mount Vernon; the Last Soldier of the Revolution' (1868). He also wrote 'Private Dalzell: His Autobiography, Poems, and Comic War Papers,' which reflects his military service and personal writings.[1][5][7]
