James J. Griffin

James J. Griffin is an American author of traditional western and Texas Ranger novels, born in 1949 as a native New Englander with a lifelong fascination for the American West.[1][3] He has written series such as the Jim Blawcyzk Texas Ranger stories, Cody Havlicek novels, A Ranger Named Rowdy, Lone Star Ranger young adult novels, and contributed to the Western Fictioneers' Wolf Creek series.[1][8] An enthusiast of Texas Rangers history, he has traveled extensively in the West, collected artifacts for the Waco Texas Ranger Hall of Fame and Museum, and drew inspiration from the television series Tales of the Texas Rangers to begin publishing in 2005.[1][3][6]
