James Aldridge

James Aldridge (1918–2015) was an Australian novelist and war correspondent who served in the Middle East during World War II, reporting on the Axis invasions of Greece and Crete. He wrote over 30 books, including bestsellers like The Diplomat, and later focused on children's literature, winning awards such as the Australian Children's Book Council Book of the Year and the Guardian Award.
