Jaime Hernandez
Jaime Hernandez (born 1959) is a comic book artist and writer who co-created the groundbreaking alternative comic series Love and Rockets with his brothers Gilbert and Mario, first published in 1981. His contributions to the series, known as the Locas storyline, realistically depict life in a Chicano neighborhood in southern California and center around the characters Maggie and Hopey. He has won numerous awards including the 2014 Los Angeles Times Book Prize for Best Graphic Novel/Comic and the 2014 Will Eisner Comic Industry Award for Best Writer/Artist.
