J. A. Jance, born Judith Ann Jance, is an American bestselling mystery novelist known for series including J.P. Beaumont, Joanna Brady, Ali Reynolds, and the Walker family stories. She was born in South Dakota and raised in Bisbee, Arizona, and has become one of the most recognizable authors in contemporary crime fiction.[2][3][1]
