J Innes

J. I. M. Stewart (1906–1994), who wrote mysteries under the pen name Michael Innes, was a Scottish novelist and academic known for both literary criticism and crime fiction. He published nearly fifty detective novels and short story collections, including the Inspector John Appleby series.
