J. G. Webster
John G. Webster was a pioneering biomedical engineer and Professor Emeritus at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, recognized as one of the founding fathers of the field. He authored influential textbooks such as 'Medical Instrumentation: Application and Design' and edited encyclopedias on medical devices and electrical engineering, while receiving prestigious awards including the IEEE EMBS Career Achievement Award and IEEE James H. Mulligan, Jr. Education Medal. Webster conducted research on implantable sensors and sleep apnea devices until his death in 2023.
