J. G. Links
Joseph Gluckstein Links (1904-1997) was a self-taught art historian who became the world expert on the painter Canaletto and the history of Venice.[1][2] Beyond his scholarly work, he was also the Queen's Furrier, a Governor of the Hudson's Bay Company, and collaborated with Dennis Wheatley on crime dossier murder mysteries.[2] He wrote numerous books including The Book of Fur (1956) and Venice for Pleasure.[1][2]
