J. Birn

James O. Born is an American novelist known for his crime thrillers, drawing on his background as a former law enforcement agent with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement to add realistic details. His debut novel Walking Money (2004) was shortlisted for the Barry Award, and Escape Clause won a Florida Book Award; he has over 20 novels, many co-authored with James Patterson, and wrote science fiction under the pen name James O'Neal. He lives on the Central Florida coast.
