Isabella Miller
Isabel Miller was the pen name of Alma Routsong, an American novelist best known for her lesbian fiction, including the self-published novel A Place for Us in 1969, later reissued as Patience and Sarah. Born in Traverse City, Michigan, she graduated from Michigan State University in 1949 and continued writing under this pseudonym, derived from an anagram of 'Lesbia' and her mother's maiden name. She died in Poughkeepsie, New York, at the age of 71.
