International Correspondence Schools
International Correspondence Schools (ICS) was founded in 1889 in Scranton, Pennsylvania, by journalist Thomas J. Foster as a distance-learning institution offering instruction by mail. It later expanded into a broad correspondence-education organization and is historically associated with the modern ICS Learn and Penn Foster brands.[1][2][4]
