Ingrid Schoon

Ingrid Schoon is a Professor of Human Development and Social Policy at the UCL Social Research Institute, Institute of Education, University College London, and previously served as Research Director at the Department of Quantitative Social Science at the Institute of Education, University of London. She earned her PhD in psychology from the University of Leiden, The Netherlands, in 1992, after studying at the University of Mainz, Germany. Her research examines risk and resilience, social inequalities, life course development, and youth transitions, with involvement in projects like the ESRC-funded GeNet network and the INRICH fellowship programme on productive youth development.
