Inc. SPSS is not an author but a software company (SPSS Inc.) that developed the SPSS statistical analysis software suite. The company was founded in 1968 by Norman H. Nie, Dale Bent, and Hadlai 'Tex' Hull in Chicago, Illinois, and was acquired by IBM in 2009.
