Ian Talbot

Ian Talbot is Emeritus Professor of Modern South Asian History at the University of Southampton, where he previously served as Head of History, Director of the Centre for Imperial and Post-Colonial Studies, and Director of the Humanities Graduate School.[1][4] He has published extensively on Colonial Punjab History, the 1947 Partition of India, and the History of Pakistan, including key works such as 'A History of Modern South Asia' (Yale, 2016), 'The Partition of India' (CUP, 2009), and 'Lahore in the Time of the Raj' (Penguin, 2016).[3][4][5]
