Ian Christie-Miller

Ian Christie-Miller is a former RAF pilot who survived a dramatic plane crash on 18 October 1963 during a training flight, leading to severe leg injuries but allowing him to return to flying duties before being invalided out in 1977.[1][2][3] He later became a teacher and earned a PhD from SOAS, London, focusing on the Kabbalistic writings of 16th-century French Franciscan Jean Thenaud, during which he developed the Early Book Imaging System for watermark research.[1][5] His publications include Traicté de la Cabale (2007), 72 In His Name (2019), Revealing Watermarks (2021), and articles in the Electronic British Library Journal.[1]
