Ian Buruma

Ian Buruma is a Dutch writer, journalist, and editor known for work on Asian culture, especially China and 20th-century Japan, as well as European affairs. He was born in The Hague and has taught at Bard College, where he has held professorial appointments in human rights and journalism, and he also served as editor of *The New York Review of Books* from 2017 to 2018.[1][3][7]
