Ian A McFarland

Ian A. McFarland is a Lutheran theologian and Robert W. Woodruff Professor of Theology at Emory University's Candler School of Theology, where he returned in 2019 after serving as Regius Professor of Divinity at the University of Cambridge. He specializes in systematic theology and the doctrine of creation, having published works including 'From Nothing: A Theology of Creation.' McFarland holds advanced degrees from Trinity College, Union Theological Seminary, the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago, and Yale University.
