Howard Pyle
Howard Pyle (1853–1911) was an American illustrator, painter, and author best known for his influential children’s books and vivid adventure imagery, especially his reimagining of Robin Hood and Arthurian legends. A major figure in the Golden Age of Illustration, he also taught many important American illustrators and later turned to mural painting.
