Howard P. Segal

Howard Paul Segal (July 15, 1948 – November 9, 2020) was an American historian and professor of history at the University of Maine for 34 years, specializing in the history of American technology and American utopianism[1][3]. He authored or edited eight books and wrote over 200 articles, including notable works such as Technology and Utopia, Future Imperfect, and Technological Utopianism in American Culture[1][2].
