Horatio F Brown

Horatio Robert Forbes Brown (1854-1926) was a Scottish historian and writer specializing in the history of Venice and Italy. He authored works such as 'Venice: An Historical Sketch of the Republic' and served as the first biographer of John Addington Symonds. Brown was also recognized as a gay figure in historical accounts.
