Mary Gilliatt is a British interior designer, journalist, and author renowned as one of the world’s leading design journalists. She began her career winning a talent contest at British Vogue, leading to roles at House and Garden and as a columnist for The Times of London, while building a successful private decorating business and raising three children. Gilliatt has authored 39 books on design, including the bestselling Decorating Book, hosted pioneering TV series like Home & Design on ITV and Decorating with Mary Gilliatt on PBS, and is developing an online university-level decorating course.
