Herbert Gardner

Herbert George Gardner (December 28, 1934 – September 24, 2003) was an American commercial artist, cartoonist, playwright, and screenwriter. Born in Brooklyn, New York, he created the comic strip *The Nebbishes* and later became known for plays such as *A Thousand Clowns* and *I’m Not Rappaport*.[1][2][4]
