Henry William Herbert

Henry William Herbert (1807–1858), better known by the pen name Frank Forester, was an English-born American novelist, poet, journalist, historian, illustrator, and writer on sport. Born in London, he emigrated to the United States, became known for popular fiction and sporting works, and later died in New York City.
