Henry Harbaugh

Henry Harbaugh (1817–1867) was a Pennsylvania Dutch clergyman, writer, and hymnist of the German Reformed Church, known for his advocacy of 'Mercersburg Theology' and his poetry in Pennsylvania Dutch. He served as pastor in Lewisburg, Lancaster, and Lebanon, and later as a professor of theology at Mercersburg Seminary, while also editing the Guardian and the Mercersburg Review. Harbaugh is often credited as a foundational figure in Pennsylvania Dutch literature due to his posthumously published poetry collection, 'Harbaugh's Harp'.
