Henrietta Branford
Henrietta Branford was a celebrated British author of children's fiction, best known for her historical novel 'Fire, Bed and Bone,' which won the Guardian Children's Fiction Prize. Born in India in 1946 and raised in Hampshire, she began writing at age 40 and produced over a dozen award-winning books for young readers before passing away from breast cancer in 1999.
