Henri Troyat

Henri Troyat was a renowned French writer, biographer, and historian of Armenian and Russian origin, known for his prolific output of over 100 books including novels, biographies of historical figures like Tolstoy and Rasputin, and epic cycles such as La Neige en deuil. He was elected to the Académie française in 1959 and received the prestigious Prix Goncourt in 1938 for his novel L'Araigne. Troyat lived a long life, passing away at the age of 95 in Paris, where he had been the longest-serving member of the Academy at the time of his death.
