Helen Macinnes
Helen Clark MacInnes was a Scottish-American author renowned for her espionage thrillers, beginning with her debut novel Above Suspicion in 1941. Born in Glasgow, Scotland, she moved to New York in 1937 with her husband Gilbert Highet, where she wrote 21 novels set against World War II and Cold War backdrops, selling over 23 million copies.[1][2][4]
