Helen Keller

Helen Keller was an American author, political activist, and lecturer who overcame the dual challenges of being both deaf and blind to become a powerful advocate for people with disabilities. She authored more than a dozen books, including her best-selling autobiography 'The Story of My Life,' and was a pioneering suffragist, pacifist, and labor union advocate. Keller co-founded the American Civil Liberties Union and traveled the world as a Goodwill Ambassador to raise awareness about disability rights.
