Helen Joseph
Helen Joseph (1905–1992) was a British-born anti-apartheid activist, teacher, and social worker who moved to South Africa in 1931 after teaching in India. She became a founding member of the Congress of Democrats, national secretary of the Federation of South African Women (FEDSAW), and helped organize the 1956 Women's March to the Union Buildings, protesting pass laws.[1][2][3][4]
