Heather Long
Heather Long is an award-winning economics columnist and correspondent at The Washington Post, focusing on the economy, trade, taxes, and issues affecting those left behind. A Wellesley College graduate (class of 2004) and Rhodes Scholar at Oxford University, she earned master's degrees in financial economics and medieval literature, and previously worked as a senior economics reporter at CNNMoney and at an investment firm in London. She has moderated events at the World Economic Forum and won the 2024 Gerald Loeb award for commentary.
