Haynes

David Haynes is an American novelist who has written over a dozen books for adults and children, including seven novels for adults and five for younger readers such as the 'West Seventh Wildcats' series. He is an emeritus professor of English at Southern Methodist University, where he directed the creative writing program for ten years, and founded Kimbilio, a retreat for fiction writers of the African diaspora. In 1996, he was selected as one of Granta's best young American novelists, and his works have been featured on NPR's Selected Shorts.
