Harvey Pekar

Harvey Lawrence Pekar was an American underground comic book writer, music critic, and media personality best known for his autobiographical comic series American Splendor, which inspired a well-received film adaptation in 2003[1][4]. He pioneered a new comic genre by depicting his own everyday life and worked extensively with underground cartoonist Robert Crumb[1][4].
