Harold Jeffreys

Sir Harold Jeffreys was a British geophysicist, astronomer, mathematician, and statistician whose work made major contributions to geophysics and the theory of probability. He is especially known for his book "Theory of Probability" and for influential ideas in Bayesian statistics and seismology.
