Hanya Yanagihara
Hanya Yanagihara is an American novelist, editor, and travel writer born in 1974 in Los Angeles, of partial Japanese and Korean descent, who grew up moving frequently across states including Hawaii, New York, Maryland, California, and Texas.[1][4] She graduated from Smith College in 1995, moved to New York City, and began her career in publishing and journalism before achieving acclaim with novels like *The People in the Trees* (2013) and the Booker-shortlisted *A Little Life* (2015).[1][4] She serves as editor-in-chief of *T: The New York Times Style Magazine*.[1][2]
