Hans J Herrmann

Hans J. Herrmann is a Professor Emeritus at ETH Zürich's Institute for Building Materials, specializing in complex systems, critical phenomena, granular matter, and statistical physics. He has held leadership positions at research institutions including HLRZ Jülich, ESPCI Paris, and the University of Stuttgart, and is the author of over 700 publications with significant contributions to understanding fracture of heterogeneous materials and granular media properties.
