Hans Casparius
Hans Gustav Casparius (1900-1986) was a German photographer, documentary film producer, still photographer, and silent film actor known for his portraits of actors and cultural figures from German life.[1][2] After working briefly in his father's textile business, he began his film career as an actor in silent movies including 'Diary of a Lost Girl' and 'Pandora's Box,' later becoming a producer and renowned traveling photographer in North Africa, Canada, Alaska, and Palestine.[2][4] Following the Nazi rise to power, he moved to Vienna before emigrating to London, where he died in 1986.[1][2]
